TrueSign 1.0.30 - 22/May/25
Defect
Several improvements have been made to the Topaz signature capture process
Several improvements have been made to the way that TrueSign handles Topaz Signature pads.
  • Under certain circumstances, the detection of the Topaz Signature Pad could cause certain pages in TrueSign to take a long time to load. This has been addressed.
  • The Topaz libraries have been updated to the latest version.
  • The size of the canvas on the Signature Pad tab has been increased.
  • An issue has been corrected where the Clear and Save buttons in the Signature Pad tab would display multiple times under certain conditions.
Defect
Corrected an issue where Dates would not display in the envelope properties side panel if added during signing
When Dates were manually added to a document during signing, those dates would display correctly on the document. However, they would not display in the envelope properties side panel. This has been corrected.
Story
New option available in 'My Profile' for Proxy Signer notifications
A new notification option is available in Profile settings called “Notify me when someone completes an envelope on my behalf”. If you enable this option, then you will receive an email notification if a proxy signer completes an envelope that was sent to you.
Defect
Corrected an issue where text added to a Title anchor would not display in the completed document under certain circumstances
If a Title anchor was added to a document and that anchor was resized vertically to be very small, when the anchor was applied, it would appear correctly while signing, but would not display on the completed document. This has been resolved.
Defect
Corrected issue where certain characters in signer's name would not display correctly
If certain characters (such as apostrophes) existed in a signer’s name, those characters would not display correctly in certain locations within TrueSign. This has been resolved.
Epic
Redirect option now available when an external signer declines consent
When an external signer declines the Consent dialog before opening an envelope, if that user declines the consent dialog, they are taken to the TrueSign webpage. This logic has been updated so that if the “Redirect_On_Reject” envelope option has been provided using the TrueSign API, then the user will be taken the provided URL instead of the TrueSign webpage.
Defect
Updates to handling of overlapped annotations
If a PDF that was uploaded into TrueSign contained existing annotations and those annotations overlapped with anchors/signatures/stamps/etc, then the TrueSign anchors/annotations could not be clicked properly under certain circumstances. This has been addressed.
Defect
Under certain circumstances, TrueSign would not convert completed documents to Tiff
If the “Deliver_As_Tiff” flag was set to true using the TrueSign API and the envelope was downloaded from the Envelope Details page before any signers had completed the envelope, then TrueSign would not convert the document to Tiff. This has been resolved.
Defect
Corrected an issue where the Subject message text did not pre-populate when using templates
An issue has been resolved where the Subject text for custom signer messages did not properly default to a value when creating an envelope from a template.
Defect
Corrected a notification issue when the "Receives a Copy" role is used with templates
An issue has been resolved regarding email notifications not being sent to the first signer when that signer had the role of “Receives a Copy” and the envelope was created from a template.
TrueSign 1.0.29 - 3/Apr/25
Story
New "Reset restricted PDFs" Envelope Type setting
A new Envelope Type setting called “Reset restricted PDFs” has been created that does the following:
  • If an uploaded PDF has PDF restrictions that prevent it from being edited, those restrictions will automatically be disabled allowing the signer to make changes to the PDF.
  • If an uploaded PDF has an existing Digital Signature Certificate applied to it, that will automatically be removed.
This setting is useful if documents that are uploaded into TrueSign have already been signed using another signing solution.
Defect
Topaz Signature pad loading has been optimized
When the TrueSign signer interface loads, it detects if a Topaz Signature pad is installed and configured. This detection has been optimized to improve the loading speed of the signer interface.
Story
PDF Rendering Updates
The way that PDFs are rendered within TrueSign has been updated to address issues with displaying PDF documents that contain high resolution images.
Defect

Story
Can now skip the Document Completed message when using the Guide Me option with multiple documents
When using the Guide Me functionality in an envelope with multiple documents, a message is displayed when moving between documents. This message can now be disabled by unchecking the “Always show this message” checkbox. image-20250402-142513.png
Epic
Signers Roles - "Receives a Copy"
TrueSign now supports Signer Roles when creating Envelopes and Templates. When adding a signer to an envelope, you can now specify one of the following roles:
  • Signer
  • Receives a Copy
The Signer role is the default option and functionally works the same as signers have previously within TrueSign. The Receives a Copy role allows someone to be included in the signer flow, but they will only have the ability to download a copy of the documents in the envelope. Typically someone is added with the Receives a Copy role as the last signer in the flow, which allows them to download the documents. image-20250331-154733.png Note: Anchors cannot be added for any signers with the Receives a Copy role since they will not be signing the documents. Signers who are added with the Receives a Copy role will also be included in the envelope history and the Summary Certificate.
Epic
A new Date & Time Anchor has been added
A new Date-Time anchor has been added to TrueSign. This anchor type can be added to a document using the TrueSign designer: image-20250327-125110.png When that anchor is applied by the signer, it will automatically be replaced with the Date and Time when the anchor was applied. image-20250331-170533.png When using the API to create anchors, this new anchor has a Type of 10. Additionally, Date and Time anchors can be used with the existing Auto Anchor functionality. For example, the {TS_DATETIME_S:1} auto anchor text can be used to add a Date Time anchor to a document.

TrueSign 1.0.27 - 10/Dec/24
Epic
Auto Anchor functionality
TrueSign can now be enabled to allow auto anchors. These anchors are created by including specific replacement text in the PDF file before it is uploaded to TrueSign and added to an envelope. This feature is helpful if you're using standardized forms or templates to create documents and don't want to manually apply anchors to multiple documents. To process auto anchors within TrueSign, you must enable the Enable Auto Anchors setting at the Envelope Type level. Please see the TrueSign user and admin help from within the app for more details about auto anchor usage.

Story
DPI can be provided using the TrueSign API when requesting the completed document as a TIFF
When enabling the Deliver_As_Tiff option via the API, you can now request a specific DPI for the completed TIFF documents. This must be included at the document level when providing the document details in the following endpoints:
  • /v1/Envelope/ (POST)

The new parameter is called Deliver_As_Tiff_DPI. The following DPI values are supported:

This could occur with very specific resolutions, window sizes, and zoom levels. The anchor's location will now remain consistent between the design and signing stages.
Epic
